Policies:

  • Please have music for your pre-approved* act emailed to Heidi NO LATER THAN the Monday before you perform.
  • The minimum length of an act at the Drifter is 3 1/2 minutes. Maximum is 7 1/2.
  • Please arrive 30 min before your first set.
  • Check in with the Manager on Duty to let them know you’ve arrived.
  • Code to the Backstage Entrance door (the “door behind the door”) is 0317.
  • Code to the Green Room is also 0317.
  • Unfortunately, drinks are not comped. If you bring a guest, and they are given a seat, the guest must make a purchase and/or pay the cover charge at the discretion of the management (curently $7).
  • Non-performers are not allowed in the dressing area. That also applies to performers who are not performing that night, or during that time. Please only be in the dressing room as needed to prepare for your act. It’s a very small space. If you feel you need an exception, arrange with Franky/Heidi ahead of time.
  • Collect your payment from the manager on duty after you have performed for the last time each evening.
  • If you are running late CALL LOU at the number above and text FRANKY. Do not email anyone. If you do not hear back from Brandi, call or text Heidi, and then Franky.

*If you plan to do an act that has not been performed at the Drifter, or Untitled, it needs to be pre-approved by Franky & Heidi.

Notes:

  • Paid parking is usually fairly easy in the neighborhood.
  • Chicago Brown Line stop is the closest CTA. Chicago Red Line is next closest.
  • Please note that this is a VERY small venue, so accommodating “plus ones” isn’t typical unless it’s a slow night.
  • If you love the Hulu show “The Bear“, take a selfie with the Mr. Beef sign next door to Green Door Tavern.
